Great place to stay on the Irish Loop

The Claddagh Inn is a great base to explore the Irish Loop. The hosts, Pat and Carol, are so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. The room was very comfortable and clean with an ensuite bathroom and television. The building, a former convent, has great character. The meals were excellent. Breakfast is included and their dinner was the best in the area. We would highly recommend staying here.

Highly recommend

During our recent visit to St Marys we stayed at the Claddagh Inn. We extended our stay to three nights because of the warmth and beauty of this B and B. Beautifully decorated with living areas and a separate bar to enjoy. Wonderful countryside and near the ocean. The food at the inn is excellent and I recommend a pre ordered gourmet dinner they will prepared for you at an extracost of $40 each. This is fine dining at its best. A delicious breakfast is included of course. The host and hostess run the inn very professionally, are both excellent cooks, and above all warm and friendly. A highlight of our stay.

Pleasant stay

In July 2017, we stayed at the Claddagh for the third time in as many years. Our return was just as enjoyable as our first two visits. We did do the optitional evening meal, and the food was delicious, with generous helpings. Breakfast the next morning was equally good. The owners and the staff are friendly and nice. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The inn is near St. Vincent's beach, a great place to walk and watch the waves and the whales (in season). Highly recommend,

JPT1015 – St. John’s, CA

A true highlight!

This was our first stop after leaving St John's and what a pleasure it was! Carol and Pat are great folks and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They have done a wonderful job recreating an Irish pub and it was the focal point for conversation among the guests before dinner. The dinner we had was by far the best one we had during our vacation. We thought the three course meal was very well priced for the quality of food provided. Carol made a fresh apple pie after we arrived so it was still warm when served - delicious. Our room was lovely, comfortable and spacious with high quality amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast was another delicious meal. Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but so much to see....so little time.
